After months of searching and browsing about the places where you can have a fantastic Ski experience, you have finalized the place, found cheap deals, booked flights and now you have been dreaming consistently about those jagged snow-capped mountains and blue skies for months.

Now as the day is coming closer, you are worried about what to pack? If you can find yourself nodding your head, here is our guide to the essentials for your ski trip:

Thermals

Beginning our list from the obvious things, Thermals are the necessary clothing that must be packed. Whether you feel cold or you don`t, these thermals will keep you warm on those long chairlifts especially the ones that take halts in between while there seem to be gale force winds.

Goggles and sunglasses

Goggles and sunglasses, you will need both of them. Where goggles are useful and great for snowy days, they are also perfect for sunny days. They will protect your eyes perfectly, especially if you have a low-light lens. While you are out for your lunch, sunglasses will be more handy and comfortable and a little more practical too.

Warm Jumpers

Don`t underestimate how low the temperatures can drop because weather can be unkind at any point of time. Although jumpers can take lot of space in your suitcase, you will be grateful that you bring it along with you when you will be cold down to your bones and it will keep you warm and cozy.

Ski jacket and Salopettes

Whether you have your own or you are planning to rent them, Ski Jackets and Salopettes are the absolute essentials when you are going for ski holidays. If budget is a constraint, you can also find cheap gears in second hand shops, charity shops and many other stores that offer discounted prices. Or if you can`t compromise with your style, there are many international brands ready to cater to all of your needs.

Hats & Helmets

If you have a helmet, take it and wear it. You never know when you might have a rough tumble, and from the many stories you may hear on holiday on how someone’s helmet saved their life, you’d be silly not to wear one. Hats are great for keeping your head warm during the day and at night, and of course, they’re all the fashion in Alpine resorts.

Neck Warmer

Neck warmer is a must-pack accessory. Perfect for both sun and snow, a neck warmer will protect you from the cold and wind when it is snowy and when it`s warm, it will protect you from sunburn. So check out your favorite store to get multipurpose neck warmer that can also be pulled over your face, if needs to be. For more comfortable wear, take out that turtle neck out of the closet and boast it.

Travel insurance

Now last but not the least, travel insurance is an absolute essential, as if you saw how much a blood wagon, a doctor’s appointment in-resort or being Heli-lifted off a run would cost you, you’d probably cry. For many of the privately run in-resort medical centers, your EHIC card (if you’re in Europe) won’t suffice. Be sure to read the fine print and check that you are covered for winter sports, skiing especially.

Pack a large suitcase with all the essentials that we have mentioned above to ensure that you don`t miss out on anything. If you are looking for cheap deals, you can use comparison website like Smart Flyer
